DTMS (Distribution Transformer Monitoring System) is a distribution transformer monitoring system designed to monitor operational conditions in real time. This system not only measures transformer oil temperature using a PT100 sensor acquired through the MAX31865 module to ensure high accuracy, but also reads electrical parameters at each transformer terminal, such as voltage (V), current (I), power (P), power factor (PF), and other parameters via Modbus RS485 communication from an external metering device.

As a control center, DTMS uses an ESP32-based microcontroller, or alternatively, the MSPM33C321A from Texas Instruments, to manage data acquisition, communication, and system processing. The acquired data is then sent to a server remotely using a Quectel EC200U cellular modem over a 4G network using serial-based AT command communication. An RS232 interface is also available to support integration with other devices. With a 24VDC power supply, DTMS is designed as a reliable, integrated, and scalable monitoring solution to improve visibility, reliability, and operational efficiency of distribution transformers.
