Keep your classic Atari Asteroids arcade machine running!

2114 SRAMs are becoming more unreliable and harder to obtain. When the CPU-accessible 2114 RAMs finally stop working on your Asteroids / Asteroids Deluxe PCB, replace both with a single 6116 RAM via this adapter. Asteroids & Asteroids Deluxe will indicate these have failed in Test Mode by emitting either a single high-pitched beep or a single low-pitched beep followed by a high-pitched beep.

• Asteroids PCBs typically have the CPU-accessible 2114s at D2 & E2
• Asteroids Deluxe PCBs have them at M1 & L1.

The adapter PCB can be fitted with either a 0.3" or 0.6" DIP 6116 SRAM (both options are pictured).

Desolder and remove existing dead 2114 RAMs from your arcade PCB and fit sockets in their place.

Use turned-pin connectors on the adapter for the best fit into the new sockets.

Note: use a 0.3" 6116 SRAM if fitting this adapter alongside the Braze Asteroids Multigame kit.
