🧠 What's the project about?

This project is a 3D printable mechanical mounting bracket with an integrated circular flange clamp, designed to hold cylindrical components such as rods, pipes, sensors, or rotating shafts. The model includes support arms and precisely dimensioned cutouts for bolts or fasteners.

It’s ideal for robotics, CNC machines, automation systems, and mechanical rigs where precision holding and modular assembly are required.

💡 Why did I decide to make it?

While building a personal robotics project, I struggled to find compact, customizable brackets that:

Securely clamp round parts (like shafts or tubes)

Fit into limited mounting space

Are easy to 3D print without supports

Can be easily reproduced or adapted

So I decided to design my own, aiming for a low-cost, easily reproducible solution anyone can use in hobbyist or engineering projects.

⚙️ How does it work?

The base has a square mounting face with predefined bolt holes for fastening to a flat surface.

The circular flange has a 20 mm central bore to hold cylindrical components.

Side arms with M8 screw holes allow easy clamping using standard bolts.

The geometry is optimized to ensure strong grip and minimal flex under load
