Could a H-Bridge work with 4 indentical transistors?

I'm curious if it's possible with inverting the input of two FETs? Or connecting the input of the high side FETs and low side FETs on the opposite side of the motor together,is it possible to use BJTs, relays or any kind of transistor in such configuration? to make a H-Bridge? If so which configuration is more practical or efficent in a H-bridge?
