I did this project for the game I'm working on - "Berta And Butterflies".There is a lot of designs of cartridge PCBs for Atari 2600. They are very good, reliable and battle tested. They usually need 74LS04 integrated circuit to work. It's an inverter with 6 gates and only one of these gates is used.In my project I replaced this IC with a inverter made of NPN transistor, two resistors and one capacitor.
