This is a faceplate for the ZX Diagnostic 2.021, a diagnostic cartridge designed to be used with the ZX Interface 2.021, a new cartridge interface for the ZX Spectrum 16k/48k machines that includes a Sinclair joystick interface. Using a cartridge faceplate means that the cartridge sits correctly in the interface, ensuring that wear and tear on the connectors is kept at a minimum. Well, mostly it just ensures that it looks pretty while the actual cartridge helps you debug your precious ZX Spectrum.
