Renodus is a small temperature/humidity and CO2 sensor. It pairs the new nRF54L10 from Nordic Semi with the SHT41 and STCC4 sensor ICs for reliable temperature/humidity and CO2 sensing capabilities, while also supporting a 200mAh rechargeable battery. The nRF54L10 allows for BLE connections (to a phone or a central bluetooth node) and the Zigbee mesh protocol, allowing for multiple nodes to be connected to one central thermostat whilst being further than the BLE distance capabilities. The 200mAh rechargeable battery allows for longevity; allowing usage for multiple months without needing a recharge. Integrated with the nPM1300, the nRF54L10 will last months as well as be aware of battery level, battery level indication via discrete LED, and extra GPIO, all of this using the I2C protocol. Renodus also comes with a button to allow for pairing to a compatible thermostat (another project, coming soon) or host device. The device will be able to measure room temperature/humidity and CO2 levels every 5 or 10 minutes (the latter will be the default when the battery level drops below 2%). As to keep data integrity, the device will require a checksum value from the thermostat or host device, and at every hour the host device will send the time to the sensor node as to keep timing accuracy.
