MakerWatch
In the world of wearables and intelligent sensing, smart wearables especially smart watches have become an expensive part of our lifestyle. The reason for the project is to give the maker community their own version of a smartwatch; one that is both open source and customizable at no cost. This is still version 1 of the smartwatch design, and hence the list of things it can do is currently limited to;
- Serving as a regular watch to tell time
- heart rate monitoring and pulse oximetry measurements
- step counter
The pcb design is made up of two separate boards stacked back to back; part A being the main watch, and part B containing the leds for ppg measurements. As this project grows, so will its list of features. You can also follow along on this journey here https://github.com/atiaisaac/MakerWatch/
