Mailbox Desk Notification Display
This project is a miniature mailbox desk display designed to work with Home Assistant. When post arrives in your real mailbox, the miniature mailbox raises its flag and plays the classic “You’ve Got Mail” sound to let you know. Once your post has been collected, the flag automatically lowers again.
The carrier PCB brings together a D1 Mini ESP8266, DFPlayer Mini, servo, speaker and reset button into a compact and easy-to-assemble design. Combined with the 3D-printed enclosure, it creates a fun physical notification display for your smart mailbox.
