CLONEMASTER V2 (COPYBOARD V2)

This PCB is tested with Commodore 64 with three Datassette 1530, and it is a working project.

CLONEMASTER V2 (COPYBOARD V2) is a circuit board for copying Commodore 64 cassette tapes content in to blank cassette tapes. For example; with CLONEMASTER V2 (COPYBOARD V2) you can backup your original Commodore game tapes, and save them from tape jamm or any other damages.

This Version Clonemaster have capability to duplicate two copies while loading the program to Commodore 64 from Master tape.

-You can plug one Master and one/two Copy Datassette 1530.

-You can plug one Master Datassette 1530 and one Copy Datassette 1530 and a SD2iEC to other Copy port, at the same time

-You can use a Tapuino or TAPE64 (audio casette interface) as Master player.

It is very simple to use CLONEMASTER V2:

-Turn off tour commodore 64

-Plug Clonemaster to your commodore 64

-Plug master Datassette 1530 and copy Datassette 1530 to CLONEMASTER V2

-Turn on your Commodore 64

- Insert original source tape into Master Datassette and insert a blank tape to Copy Datassette

- Press "play" on master Datassette and press "Record+Play" on copy Datassette at the same time.

- If you want; you can load the program/game to Commodore 64, while copying it. (as usual way)

Master tape should be a good record and should be loadable to commodore64. If you can not load from a tape you can not copy it. Clonemaster V2 can not copy defected tapes.

Always use good condition cassette tapes for recording.

Sometimes you should clean Datassette 1530 heads with some alcohol and cotton.

Some old Datassette 1530 devices may need to replace rubber belt at the tape motor.

There is an optional 3 pin power input on the board, for using Clonemaster separate from Commodore 64 (not connected to C64). "m" is tape motor power (6V), "+" is +5V, "-" is GND

In order to protect your electronical devices, always turn off your Commodore 64 before connecting or unconnecting any device.

Gerber files can be changed at any time. Before paying for the PCBs, be sure to update your orders!
