COMMODORE 64, 2MB DOUBLE CARTRIDGE (TWIN CART)

Hello,

2MB TWIN CART is a Magic Desk Compatible C64 cartridge.

Twin Card is, two 1MB card in one PCB (1MB + 1MB = 2048KB).

Commodore 64 - 2MB TWIN CART lets you play approximately 65 Games directly from cartridge (126 blocks x 65).

This is a tested and working project.

This 2MB Magic-Desk Compatible Double Cartridge is based on msolajic's (Marko Solajic) "c64-magic-desk-512k" project.

I adapted the original PCB drawings, to work with only 27C801 (1MB) eprom, and then doubled the cartridge :) The rest is the same with Marko Solajic's master design. (Attention: This cartridge works only with 27C801 (1MB eprom), and it has not any jumper settings for other different kind eproms.)

For preparing 1MB eprom images you can use this software (Thanks to zzarko)

You can test and see your eprom images with VICE Emulator (version 3.0 or later) (Thanks VICE team).

In order to protect your electronical devices, always turn off your Commodore 64 before connecting or unconnecting any device.

Gerber files can be changed at any time. Before paying for the PCBs, be sure to update your orders!

2PCS DIP32 WIDE IC SOCKET

2PCS. RIGHT ANGLE TACTILE BUTTON (For optional RESET)

If your programmer have capability to test IC chips, like 74LS series, then you should not forget to test them before soldering, some chips may have defect. (TL866 Minipro Programmer is able to test some of logic IC)
