BQ4847Y Replacement

It is becoming increasingly difficult to find the BQ4847Y with a fresh battery. This board allows you to replace the component with a BQ4802LYW, in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. The BQ4802Y can also be installed in the 3.3V regulator. The battery holder accommodates 2032 and 2430 sizes, whether using a standard battery or a rechargeable cell; in the latter case, simply adding a diode and a 48-ohm resistor enables charging of the corresponding LIR version.

It has now been a year since I replaced the BQ4847Y on my TI-99/4A PEB IDE card with the board described here, and there have been no issues with the DSR. It is much more stable than before...

This version can accommodate rechargeable 3.7V LIR2430 batteries, ensuring data retention for the life of the unit.
