AMIGA - GOTEK FLOPPY DISK DRIVE EMULATOR EXTERNAL CONNECTION ADAPTER

Hello,

This is a tested and working circuit. (Tested on Amiga 500 v1.3 with FlashFloppy* firmware installed GOTEK floppy disk drive emulator (SFR1M44-U100 and SFR1M44-U100K).)

This adapter helps you to connnect; FlashFloppy* firmware installed GOTEK floppy disk drive emulator (SFR1M44-U100 or SFR1M44-U100K) to your Amiga, externally as DF:1 (from Amiga 23 pin disk drive connection).

Components:

17 pin male header

4 pin male header

17 pin dupont female-female cable

4 pin dupunt female-female cable

DB23M 23 pin D-sub male connector**

FlashFloppy* firmware installed GOTEK (SFR1M44-U100 or SFR1M44-U100K)

Instead of male headers + female-female dupont cables, you can use male-female dupont cables and solder directly to PCB.

** There are several methods to obtain 23 pin D-sub male connector:

PS: With Kickstart ROM V1.2 and V1.3 you may need AMIGA 500 - SWITCHLESS BOOT SELECTOR to boot from external drive.

Ps. While transfering data (reading or writing) from SD cards or USB flash storages it should not be interrupted like power-off or Reset systems. Otherwise that may damage memory chips.

In order to protect your electronical devices, always turn off your Amiga before connecting or disconnecting the cables or any other device.
