Solder mask issues resolved
First batch had issues with solder mask not fully covering 6mil isolated traces. Raised a dispute in the orders page, and had a very effective communication with after-sales support. The follow up to resolve the problem by re-doing the job was very fast. It felt like there was genuine, dedicated support in resolving my case, which I am very thankful. Furthermore, PCBWay noticed the same manufacturing defects on their first re-do, and chose to redo their job again to ensure it was properly fixed, all the while sending photo updates until it was fixed. This is very impressive and highly professional of them to ensure quality even for such a small production run (30pcs). Well done PCBWay! To help others here, if your design has narrow, isolated traces, it is advisable to add a note in your order to request for the solder mask to be printed twice, especially if you are concerned that the traces might not be fully covered especially at the knee of the trace.
