Custom CNC Copper Heatsink for UniFi US-XG-6-POE

1. Manufacturing Quality (CNC, Milling, Tolerances) Tolerances were met with excellent precision. Mounting holes aligned perfectly with the device chassis. The surface finish is smooth, with no burrs or machining defects. 2. Material & Thermal Performance The solid copper construction offers a significant thermal improvement over the original aluminum heatsink. Compared to the stock heatsink, the new one reduced chip temperature by X°C (please fill in your measured value here if available), achieving stable passive cooling. 3. Custom Design Accuracy The model was based on a scan of the original heatsink and was replicated and optimized flawlessly. Contact area and fit over both chips was ideal, with no need for post-processing or adjustment. 4. Shipping & Packaging Shipping via FedEx International Priority was fast, but the customs clearance in Romania (handled by IRS) was frustrating and slow, negatively affecting the overall experience. Product arrived well-packaged and undamaged. 5. Suggestions for Improvement Consider adding optional airflow guides or channels in future designs, for customers who plan to add an external axial fan. It would be helpful if PCBWay could provide supportive customs documentation for Romania or consider working with a more efficient local brokerage partner.
