I have a ton of LEDs from a flashlight that need 4.5-5V to turn on, and I want to control them with my Raspberry Pi 3.3v pins (The 5v pins are already in use). It looks like I need an NPN transistor, but I'm having trouble identifying which one. I have 2N4401, 2N2222, and 2N3904 transistors, which all have a max emitter base voltage of around 6V. I can't find out what the threshold voltage of these are, or maybe there's a standard I don't know about. Would 3.3V be enough to activate any of these transistors? Do I need a transistor with a lower Vbe? Any help is appreciated!
