Hi everyone,
I’m using an XL6009 DC-DC Boost Adjustable Voltage Regulator Module (this one: XL6009 boost module, adjustable output), and I’m facing some issues with the output stability.
My setup:
Input voltage: ___ V
Required output voltage: ___ V
Load: ___ (e.g., LED strip, small motor, ESP32, etc.)
Potentiometer adjusted to the correct output
Connections checked for polarity
Problem:
The output voltage seems to fluctuate, especially when I connect a load. Sometimes it drops, sometimes it spikes slightly. Without load it stays mostly stable.
Questions:
Is this normal behavior for the XL6009 module?
Do I need additional capacitors on input/output for stability?
How much current can this module realistically deliver?
Any tips for wiring, heat dissipation, or troubleshooting?
Is there a better alternative for stable boosting in the ___ V to ___ V range?
Any advice or experience with this module would be really helpful!
