We are a startup looking to develop an electronic lock and need a company to create the molds and plastic parts. Our product will be used on garbage containers, so it must be resistant to water and high-pressure cleaning. Therefore, we decided to use sonic welding for the casing to prevent water ingress.
We would like to request a quote for the molds and plastics, but first, I would like to know:
- Do you provide DFM (Design for Manufacturing)? Although the product is finished, some adjustments may be necessary for the molds due to thickness and other factors.
- Do you perform sonic welding? Have you made any products with sonic welding that contain electronics? Could they be affected?
- Since the product will be sealed, do you assemble the product before sonic welding?
- Do you have temporary storage for the manufactured products?
- Is it possible to conduct waterproofing tests before mold fabrication, for example, by 3D printing and performing a sonic welding test?
- Do you have RoHS and REACH certificates?
