PCBbot, a smart robot dog made entirely out of PCBs
what is it?
can you build a robot entirely out of PCBs? this is the question I asked myself when I decided to build this robot. it is a small robot dog entirely built using PCBs, it was designed with the idea of making a small, clean, smart, and capable robot dog that everyone can easily build at home using off-the-shelf components like servo motors, an Arduino, and other readily available electronics. since this robot is built using PCBs the vast majority of the connections between the components can be integrated into the robot structure making wired connections necessary only between the legs joints. this robot features an hc05 Bluetooth module that allows it to be controlled via a smartphone, all the code is processed by a small Arduino nano that controls the eight mg90s servo motors.
this robot dog is also packed with features, in fact, it will not only be able to walk, but it will also be able to know when its feet are touching the ground thanks to the pivoting feet that act as a small button, this will allow this dog to easier navigate through rougher terrain without getting stuck or flipping over. this robot also features a module bay to which a variety of modules can be attached to further expand the capabilities of this small dog, such as a robotic arm or an obstacle avoidance sensor.
how it's built?
the coolest thing about this robot is that, since it is built using PCBs, it can be assembled by soldering together the individual PCBs with the help of a 0.8mm solid copper wire; in this way, while connecting the structural part of the robot, you will also be making the necessary electrical connections needed to connect all the electronic components together. for that reason, the only tools needed to assemble this small robot dog are a soldering iron, some pliers, and a wire stripper.
in order to make this robot a lot cheaper, thus more accessible to everyone, I grouped all the individual PCBs needed to build this robot into three bigger PCBs that can be ordered individually for cheap, unfortunately, doing that you will have to cut the PCBs by yourself with a scroll saw (or similar), but this won't take you more than a few hours.

at the time of posting this project, I don't have a good and reliable code that can be used on this robot, so I won't share it, but I guarantee that I'm working on it.
