good

I recently used PCBWay for a PCB fabrication order and overall had a very positive experience with the process. The project involved a custom PCB with a mix of standard surface-mount components, connectors, test points, and relatively compact routing. The board was intended for an electronics prototype, so having consistent fabrication quality and good mechanical alignment was important for assembling and testing the design. The ordering process on the PCBWay website was straightforward. After uploading the Gerber files, the available fabrication options were clearly presented, including board thickness, copper weight, solder mask, surface finish, and other manufacturing parameters. There are quite a few options available, but for a relatively standard PCB it was easy to select the appropriate settings. I also appreciated being able to review the submitted files and specifications before the order moved further into production. Communication during the manufacturing process was good. The order status was updated through the different stages, which made it easy to see approximately where the boards were in the fabrication process. For prototype work, this is useful because there are often other components, PCBs, or laboratory preparations that need to be coordinated at the same time. When the boards arrived, they were packaged securely and protected well during shipping. The individual PCBs were clean and there was no obvious physical damage from transportation. The overall board appearance was professional. The solder mask coverage looked uniform, the silkscreen was readable, and the board edges were clean. Features such as vias, pads, mounting holes, and connector footprints appeared to be fabricated according to the submitted design.
