GRACE - 1U front panel, 2 pieces

The finished panels exceeded my expectations. This is a demanding part - a display window, a mains cutout, a ø32.6 recess and a ø18.5 counterbore, and eight blind tapped holes on the rear face - and the critical detail was the floor-to-wall radius in the recess and counterbore, which had to stay at or below 0.2 or the knob and switch bezel would seat on the corner radius instead of the floor. It was held. Both components sit flat. The internal corner radii matched the drawing throughout, the anodised finish is clean and even, and the threads were chased after anodising as requested, so the M2.5 and M3 fasteners ran in without effort. The ordering process was a different story. This was my first CNC order with PCBWay and it took six days in audit, three rejections, and an escalation before anything reached the shop floor, because the drawing requirements are not published anywhere. The quoted build time and price both changed substantially after audit. PCBWay’s management engaged seriously once I escalated, and I understand the drawing standards are being documented. So: be prepared to work for the order, and treat the configurator figures as indicative only. But the machining itself is excellent, and that is what I will be back for.
