ROBOTIC COLLECTIVE SYSTEM PROTOTYPE FOR ADEQUACY OF A LAND INSPIRED BY BIOLOGICAL BEHAVIOR ALGORITHMS
Due to the need of man to expand his physical borders, there is an interest in colonizing spaces in remote places where the environment does not always have the requirements for human settlement, it is in this environment where the search to meet this objective leads to the need to create machines and mechanisms that have the ability to perform tasks that the human by their own physical means does not have the ability to achieve.
The present project seeks to document the construction of a cooperative robotic system in which ants are of interest, given the way in which debris is cleaned in open regions to build their nests. The ant implements its own version of “site preparation” for the construction of the nesting site of its colony. This approach is based on a non-centralized control but with a common objective for the entire colony to control the construction process, since the work of each robot affects the behavior of the other robots through the modification of a shared environment.
