Coilgun

This "Just for fun" project can accelerate metal pieces to insane speeds. It is extremly easy make if you have patience. Thanks to pcbway I could user professional PCB's for the stages and did not lost hours building the single stages on universal boards. Basically each stage has a light barrier in the barrel. As long it is interrupted it turns on the coil with a big Mosfet transistor. Needs 48V dc and a lot of AMPS.
