Hello, I was about to purchase some heat shrink tubing when I noticed they come in plain as well as a dual wall type that has an adhesive/glue layer. My question is whether anyone has found issues with the adhesive impacting a circuit if it gets on any of the component leads, pins or even the pins/lugs of an audio jack?
An example might be covering a resistor with dual wall heat shrink in a freeform/dead bug style circuit and the adhesive gets on the leads of the resistor. Can this gum them up and affect conductivity? I'm assuming not but also wasn't sure if it would be better to use the regular heat shrink in this situation so maybe buy both types.
