The legend printing process prints all of the vital information on the board, such as component reference designators, company logos, component identifiers, and switch settings. Two methods are mainly used in this process: Screen printing and Direct Legend Printing (DLP). These two printing methods have their advantages but if customers have high requirements on the precision of legends, DLP is generally selected.
