Heart of Innovation – PCBWay 12

This badge design takes the shape of a heart, symbolizing a passion for electronics, creativity, and the strong community around PCBWay.

The PCB uses an astable multivibrator circuit with two transistors in combination with the CD4017, which controls the sequential blinking of LEDs. Thanks to this solution, no programming is required, highlighting the simplicity, elegance, and accessibility of the design for the broader maker community.

Power is designed to be flexible—the badge can be powered by a CR2032 or a rechargeable LIR2032, or via a Micro USB connector. When using a rechargeable battery, an optional LTC4054ES5-4.2 charging circuit can be populated, improving practicality and device longevity.

The bottom section features the “PCBWay 12” label, designed as a detachable module. This part can be easily snapped off and soldered onto header pins. This makes the design adaptable—after a small modification, it can be reused for anniversaries from the 12th all the way to the 100th :)
