Modular Power Distribution Board with Multi-Stage Voltage Regulation
This project presents a modular power distribution board designed for systems that require flexible voltage management and high-current power delivery. The board serves as a central power interface, enabling structured power routing while allowing independent voltage conversion stages to be connected as needed.
The board accepts a 24V input supply and distributes power through three motor output connectors, each designed to support two loads connected in parallel. This configuration allows scalable power delivery while maintaining balanced current distribution.
To enhance adaptability, the design incorporates three edge connectors that interface with dedicated voltage regulation stages:
- A 24V to 12V buck stage for medium-power loads
- A 12V to 5V buck stage for low-power electronics
- A 12V to 24V boost stage used to generate a stabilized 24V output when required
This architecture separates power distribution from voltage conversion, improving thermal performance and simplifying system reconfiguration. The stabilized 24V output supports applications where consistent voltage is critical under varying load conditions.
