B-PWR-MOD - Voltage Regulator Module (5V)
I was looking for a way to power my ATTiny with 5V and some RGB LEDs as well and I wanted to power everything with default AA batteries. There are some PCBs and Breakouts but I wanted a solution which I can use everywhere in my projects without re-do the schematics every time over again. I also wanted a much more efficient solution for my projects.
I started with buck converters and used 4 AA Batteries and regulated the 6V down to 5V but that needs a lot of space and is very unefficient as most regulators have bad a bad dropout.
Then I found out about switching regulators and created this module - it can deliver the power and current I need for some RGB LEDs and the ATTiny85 which I can run now with only 2 AA Batteries.
