Dear PCBWay Team,
I would like to ask for a manufacturability check before placing an order.
We are designing a prototype PLCC68 socket plug PCB. The board has a comb/dent-like edge shape with 68 contacts at 1.27 mm pitch. The dent structure is intentional and required to fit into a standard PLCC68 socket.
I have attached:
Gerber files of the proposed design
3D/render images of the intended PCB shape
A reference image showing the desired final appearance of the plated dent/contact areas
Our main question is simple:
Can PCBWay manufacture this type of plated dent/contact structure — yes or no?
The preferred solution would be edge plating / side plating on the front face of each dent/contact finger. If this is not possible, please advise whether it could be made using a castellated-hole / half-hole process instead.
This is only a prototype test board, so minor cosmetic imperfections are acceptable, but the contact areas must remain electrically usable.
Thank you very much for checking this request.
Best regards,
Andrejs Ogurcovs
