I'm in the process of building a project and would like some advice. It's a light-sensitive audio trigger built from a simple circuit interrupted by a photoresistor. However, photoresistors have way too slow of a response time, so I want to try using photodiodes instead. My question—Do they work similarly? Will it be as simple as swapping out the resistor with the diode, or does the diode element require additional power to operate?
Thanks for any technical advice or suggestions.
