Robot disciplines such as line followers, maze, sumo, humanoids, drones, etc, are found in this competition.
Teams from around the world go to compete here because of its high prestige. It is considered one of the world’s most important competition in line follower and mini sumo robots. The category in which we want to participate is line follower, that consists in building a robot capable of running through a course marked with a line in the floor in the fastest time, as shown in the picture below.

Physical proximity exposure at events
Cirobots (our team) is willing to put PCBWay logo in our uniforms (shirts and hats) as well as on our robots.
The events we attend are concurred with other robotics teams, so it is a good way for them to get to know you, and attract more potential customers.

Media proximity
Cirobots is willing to put PCBWay in our Facebook page, as well as on our blog and website, as a sponsor to the team.
Our media channels are viewed by thousands of people, especially at México and Latin America. This people are robotics enthusiasts, so this is a way to approach them and advertise PCBWay.

Project Introduction:

Last year we won the national line follower competition in Mexico with our robot Thunder. (Here is a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMTVoJk41oA)

This year we have been working in a new design with the objective of conquering Robochallenge.
Here is a photo of our newest design.

Project Details

Our new robot consists of two PCBs (the chassis and the sensors in front).

In these PCBs we have a microcontroller in charge of reading sensors located in the front, so that the robot knows where is the line.

The information of the location of the line is processed and introduced in a PID control loop that drives the motors, thus making the robot follow the line.

In the middle of the robot, there is located a turbine, which helps the robot adhere to the floor and therefore have more traction in curves.

In addition to the PID control loop, our robot has a gyroscope that is able to detect wether the robot is in a curve or a straight line path, and adjusts the control constants to optimize the trajectory.

All information and parameters are monitored and may be changed through a computer interface designed by us.

What we want from PCBWay is the manufacturing of the two main PCBs in our robot. We are making 5 robots with the same PCBs.
